Secrets and Heartaches

Most children have simple secrets. They can be cute and fun and sometimes part of childhood games.

As adults often our secrets have a more mature flavor. If, in adulthood, secrets are carried over from our youth, the secrets can lie deep and be painful burdens to carry. Almost to the point where the pain of allowing the childhood secret to escape once and for all seems more painful than continuing the process of holding on or blocking the secret or memory.

(I am not a counselor. I am a woman speaking from experience.)

Maybe you thought you were to blame.
Maybe you thought it was your fault.
Maybe you thought you deserved what happened.

know

You will survive

know

You need to set yourself and those secrets free

The journey through life is hard enough without the extra baggage.
