The long drives, stuffed in the back seat of our Pink Rambler, in between two sisters is where I learned the art of throwing daggers with my eyes and how many songs can be sung with words like 'this' and 'that', causing the tongue to shoot in the direction of whichever sister you were mad at the time with. All the while, having an excuse in the lyrics of the song. All that, and plethora more...

Learning
I have a friend who does not know a lot of English but enough to get by. She asks me from time to time to translate or explain to her words or phrases she reads or hears.
You know I wish I had someone who could do the same for me. A translator that knew my mind - and it's so out there some day - workings and as I hear people talking through the day, as people toss out, vomit out or whisper words, the translator would make it all clear for me.
Then perhaps what I thought I heard, what I felt, might not be anything compared to the trail their words had taken me on.
Life, oh to understand how it all works...
