Walking

I'm on the treadmill walking. I glance downward and see that the seam where the track was put together keeps going around and around. Kinda sorta like stuff in our lives, isn't it? Stuff like baggage, issues without enough tissues kind of things. Things that make you wonder 'why'.

Or people in our lives, ones that keep passing through. Some love you, don't don't. Some say they will stay but when you wake and yesterday is gone, so are they.

What are you thinking Father.
What is your plan for me Lord.
Like with the 7 day weather forecast,
can I take a view or perhaps
I could not handle that anymore
than I am handling this day.

However, I will keep walking - on the treadmill because it's my goal - in life because I know I am not walking alone.

Father, as I walk through this day, bless my steps. Hear my prayers both spoken and in those moments in this day, when words will fail me, when life is more than I can bare.

Help me see the best in those around me, the best in my surroundings. Please fill my aching heart with song and a lightness.

Hold me when I cry. Teach me to be strong. Calm my fears. Help me know you are really there. Strengthen me, be my hiding place, protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
