Like Minds

I have a sister in law I am crazy about. She thinks SO along the same lines as I do at times, that it is almost scary but at the same time a joy. A joy to have found someone in the world that can relate so often to the same feelings and experiences - is to me, a rare gift.

One of the things she likes to do is clean.I love it! She understands when I am on a day off or on vacation and I can't wait to empty the kitchen cupboards and get them cleaned out and reorganized. She will most likely be doing the same thing on her vacation day. :)

Her hobby is a Christmas Village. She has worked on it, adding new pieces each year since I have known her. I think she should become a speaker/teacher, and go from city to city..Paris would be lovely...and teach the art of making a Christmas Village. I will have to get some pictures from her via email again this year, and post them for you of her village. You will be amazed!

Guess what she said! It is July and she told her husband that there are ONLY a few short months left until Christmas and she SOOO needs to get busy on a piece or two so they will be ready to add to the village in time for Christmas.

Her husband SO loves her but SO does not understand. Me - I can relate.

She puts love into the village. I know that because I have seen her completed work and I hear it in her words when she tells me how she formed a mountain or the water. The excitement when she gets a new piece to work on and add to the already 'take over the entire family room and no one can sit down because the furniture had to be removed from the room', Christmas Village.

My sister in law is a good friend also. The care, joy and love she puts into the Christmas Village is the same she gives to her family and friends. I consider myself blessed by her friendship.

Sometimes we discuss issues we share with each other. I know she can be trusted. I know she will laugh when I do and cry with me also. I do the same for her. Recently we had an email conversation about an adventure. I won't tell you what though. It is one of those friendship secrets.

However, when and if the secret adventure is no longer a secret, YOU will be the first to know.
